ECCC Ontario has announced the launch of its Community World Cup Tournament 2026, a youth soccer event designed to bring together young players and community organizations in celebration of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The tournament is tentatively scheduled for June 27, 2026, at Thorncliffe Community Centre and will feature participants aged 6 to 13 years old. Teams will represent nations participating in the World Cup, promoting cultural pride, teamwork, and community engagement.
The event is expected to host up to 80 young players and will include trophies, medals, certificates, and refreshments for participants. Community organizations are also invited to attend and showcase their programs and services.
The tournament aims to strengthen community bonds while providing youth with a fun, inclusive, and memorable sporting experience inspired by the world’s most celebrated soccer competition.
