Community World Cup Tournament 2026

As a family engagement and cultural celebration, the ECCC Ontario would like to invite you to join our CWCT 2026 (Community World Cup Tournament 2026).

CWCT 2026 is tentatively scheduled for June 27, 2026, at Thorncliffe Community Centre and will feature participants aged 6 to 13 years old. Teams will represent nations participating in the World Cup, promoting cultural pride, teamwork, and community engagement.

Participant Code of Conduct & Event Ethics

The World Cup Community Cup is designed to promote sportsmanship, inclusion, teamwork, and community spirit. All participants, coaches, parents, volunteers, and spectators are expected to uphold the following standards throughout the event.

1. Respect for Everyone
* Treat all players, coaches, officials, volunteers, and spectators with dignity and respect.
* Discrimination, harassment, bullying, racism, or any form of abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
* Respect the cultural diversity of all participants and the nations represented.

2. Fair Play and Sportsmanship
* Play honestly and follow the rules of the game.
* Accept referees' decisions respectfully.
* Win with humility and lose with dignity.
* Encourage teammates and opponents alike.

3. Positive Conduct
* Use appropriate language at all times.
* Physical or verbal aggression is strictly prohibited.
* Fighting, threatening behavior, or intentional harm to others will result in immediate removal from the event.

4. Team Responsibility
* Teams must arrive on time for scheduled matches.
* Coaches and team leaders are responsible for the behavior of their players and supporters.
* Teams must follow event organizers' instructions regarding schedules, facilities, and safety procedures.

5. Parent and Spectator Expectations
* Cheer positively and support all participants.
* Do not criticize players, referees, or volunteers.
* Help create a welcoming and family-friendly environment.

6. Safety First
* Participants must wear appropriate sports attire and footwear.
* Any injury must be reported immediately to event staff.
* Players should follow all safety instructions provided by organizers.

7. Inclusion and Community Spirit
* The purpose of this event is to build friendships, celebrate diversity, and strengthen community connections.
* Participants are encouraged to demonstrate kindness, cooperation, and respect throughout the tournament.

8. Facility Care
* Respect the Thorncliffe Community Centre facilities and grounds.
* Dispose of garbage properly and help keep the venue clean.
* Any deliberate damage to property may result in removal from the event.

9. Consequences for Misconduct
Event organizers reserve the right to:
* Issue verbal warnings.
* Remove participants or spectators from a match.
* Disqualify a team from the tournament.
* Refuse future participation in ECCC Ontario sport events.

10. Commitment
By registering for the Community World Cup Tournament 2026, players and their parents/guardians, agree to follow these rules and contribute to a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for everyone.
